I received my master's degree in counseling from Austin Peay State University in 2008. Since that time, I have worked across different settings, to include several years at Ft. Campbell, with local veterans organizations, and community mental health agencies serving clients across the lifespan. I am currently accepting new clients, ages 18 and older. In session, I utilize techniques and exercises from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Method, and am trained in Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
As a therapist, I recognize that connections are made and relationships defined uniquely to the people in them. I cater therapy to provide a solid framework of compassion and acceptance in a safe space. Whether clients need a space to vent or are going through a rough transitional time, I am here to walk this path with you. I provide an open-minded, non-judgmental approach, supporting clients in their personal process. I believe that clients are the experts of their lives and make it a point to honor their values working collaboratively alongside them. Lastly, I believe a therapist should be relatable. By blending insight with humor my goal is that my clients will feel less intimidated about seeing a therapist
I have had the pleasure of calling Clarksville home since 2005. In that time, I have seen tremendous growth and opportunity and am proud to have built relationships and resources within this community. I look forward to working with you to connect with this beautiful town.
